    When I grow up…

    http://oncampus.macleans.ca/ education/ 2008/ 08/ 13/ when-i-grow-up/

It’s a universal fact: every kid’s dream in kindergarten is to become an astronaut. Well, ignoring the occasional firefighter, cowboy, and dentist wannabes. Okay, nobody ever really wants to be a dentist. They just wake up in dental school one day.

Canadian Space Agency Watches Wind Turbine Explode

    http://windfarms.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 30/ canadian-space-agency-watches-wind…

Editor: I don’t know why, but I find this rather amusing. I get a lot of visits from different govt. agencies but the thought of the Canadian Space Agency sitting around watching a wind turbine explode, cracks me up. The CBC, both Toronto and Montreal were on my blog today, maybe they could get together with the Space Agency and make a short documentary on the subject.

    Emergency Toilet Repair!

    http://majik2903.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 06/ emergency-toilet-repair.html

Since Entrecard is still down I got to spend some time going through different News Networks' pages today. It seems that the toilet on the ISS (International Space Station) is partially broken down. The Space shuttle Discovery was launched yesterday carrying emergency plumbing supplies and the Japanese Kibo laboratory.

    Another Phoenix Has Landed…on Mars

    http://www.sundriesshack.com/ ?p=4559

I must say, for as much trash as I have talked about NASA’s limited vision of space explorations these days, they do seem to be getting an awfully big bang for the pittance we allot them. They, in cooperation with the Canadian Space Agency and two American universities, have landed the Phoenix Mars Lander.

    Tomatosphere Update

    http://ruby3881.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 03/ 25/ tomatosphere-update/

I just wanted to let everyone know our “Space Tomatoes” have mostly germinated. We have a few that are lagging behind, and unfortunately the girls left the trays down on the desk long enough for one of our mischief makers to decapitate about three of the sprouts.

    Dextre

    http://orbitingfrog.com/ blog/ 2008/ 03/ 19/ dextre/

As if Canadarm wasn’t the best name of anything in space (it’s a Canadian arm for the International Space Station), the Canadian Space Agency has now put Dextre into space. What is Dextre? Well he’s the hand to Canadarm’s arm. The team that built him have kept referring to him as a person despite Dextre being a very important, and serious, addition to the ISS.

Stop the sale of CANADARM & RADARSAT

    http://aprilreign.breadnroses.ca/ ?p=460

Radarsat-2 was developed through a partnership between MDA and the Canadian Space Agency, with Canadian taxpayers paying $445 million or about 85 per cent of the total cost. In return for its investment, the Canadian government was promised large amounts of imagery as well as “priority access” to Radarsat-2 in emergencies.
