The Ten Worst Cover Songs I Have Ever Heard
http://blog.swanfungus.com/ 2008/ 05/ ten-worst-cover-songs-i-have-ever-heard.ht…I was actually reading Pitchfork the other day (I know...I know), and I came across an interesting news item about Weezer. First, apparently they're trying their hand at another self-titled album (although, Led Zeppelin they are not), but they've also just released a "digital single" (God I hate these uber-modern trends), and have added two bonus tracks for their UK release.

Tessellations, and Escher in the movie Labyrinth
http://journals.aol.com/ bgilmore725/ Wanderer/ entries/ 2008/ 05/ 17/ tessellat…I had just emailed Patrick (aka Daddyleer, Caregivingly Yours), in response to his comment in the previous entry, and that got me to thinking about MC Escher, the famous graphic artist (1897-1972). One of my most favorite lessons to teach in school is the tessellation math unit.

Our Closure Assignment Inform
http://umnprimrose.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 17/ our-closure-assignment-inform/A Psyche mentioned a set of two as regards weeks dead, BIDMC had an undivined look in out the Crevice Recondition. At the heyday, Spiritual being foretokened yours truly that Oneself would stamp the results in respect to that take up. Younger is the email Anima humana sent toward our caduceus modernity.

Celebrity Mugshots
http://www.rumorsdaily.com/ 2008/ 05/ 16/ celebrity-mugshots/The Smoking Gun celebrity mugshot archive is pretty interesting. Did you, for example, know that Haley Joel Osment was arrested for drunk driving in 2006? I didn’t. There’s also a pretty amazing mugshot of Rosa Parks taken when she was arrested on the bus which was subsequently “lost” until 2004.

This Week in Trailers VIII
http://toomanymovies.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 16/ this-week-in-trailers-viii/Not the best bunch this time, with only two that look promising. First up we have yet another Mummy movie; did we really need another? I didn’t even see the second but I heard it was bad. Next we have City of Ember which is one of the aforementioned two that could be decent.

The Benefits of Bowie, Maryland
http://blog.marylandhomehunter.com/ public/ item/ 202821Did you know that rebates and fame could be yours? City Rebate If you are in the market for a new mulching mower, and you're a resident of Bowie, hang on to that receipt! As of April 2, 2008, the city increased the rebate and will now pay you $50 for choosing a mower that is good for you and the local environment.

Love me, love me, love me, love me, say you do Let me fly away with you For my love is like the wind, and wild is the wind Wild is the wind You touch me, I hear the sound of mandolins You kiss me With your kiss my life begins You're spring to me, all things to me Don't you know you're life, itself!

Poetry Follies for a Rainy Friday Afternoon
http://lilliputreview.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ poetry-follies-for-rainy-friday_16…Lunch hour and it's another rainy Friday afternoon in Pittsburgh. As an antidote to all this damp, below is a neat little bit with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, the later doing his very best John Cleese homage. Thanks once again go to Jessa Crispin at Blog of Bookslut for pointing in this direction.

For Here, Am I Sitting In A Tin Can/Far Above The World
http://amirulb.vox.com/ library/ post/ for-here-am-i-sitting-in-a-tin-canfar-abo…I've been listening to David Bowie's Space Oddity over and over this last week, possibly because I hadn't updated the Isabella (yes, I'm going to refer it like a ship) with my ginormous MP3 collection from the desktop (which isn't officially named, but I think is the Camille) Space Oddity David Bowie Some lyrics from it just resonate greatly within me.
