    Video Marketing Is Smokin’!

    http://ovblogger.com/ 2008/ 10/ 11/ video-is-smokin/

Over the past year or so, I’ve become quite enamored of video. I’ve been making lots of short films for my blogging business, for Overcome Everything, and for a special project I’ve been working on for more than a year.

Is There Such A Thing As A Final Manuscript?

    http://www.thegoldenpencil.com/ 2008/ 10/ 07/ is-there-such-a-thing-as-a-final-m…

(www.thegoldenpencil.com) Sometimes I think there is simply no way to finalize a manuscript - particularly a book-length manuscript! Can you tell I’m working on the copy edited version on my soon-to-be-released book on getting a book written? After I accepted or rejected the changes made by my excellent copy editor, I printed out the manuscript one last time.

My Book Has Been Copy Edited!

    http://www.thegoldenpencil.com/ 2008/ 10/ 02/ my-book-has-been-copy-edited/

(www.thegoldenpencil.com) I got the copy edited version of my book on writing books back. I have to tell you, I wasn’t anxious to open it; in fact, I postponed it two days. I was afraid of what I would see for two reasons. It’s always hard to look at any criticism, even when I’m the one who asked for it.

    Something for my Fellow YAers...

    http://thebookshelfmuse.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ something-for-my-fellow-yaers.ht…

Something for my Fellow YAers... It's moments like these that I'm extremely grateful for the facelessness of a blog. Seeing me red-nosed and drippy-eyed, bundled in blankets and surrounded by a legion of soggy Kleenex is so not a Cosmo cover moment. Not by a long shot.

Free & Useful Ebook For Writers

    http://www.thegoldenpencil.com/ 2008/ 09/ 28/ 1901/

Yvonne Russel over at Home Biz Notes scoops me again! In a post called “Free - Penguin Authors Guide To Online Marketing - A Great Promotional Tool,” I suggest you go right over and download it. It’s a 64 page ebook with some cool graphics and, it looks like, some sage advice.

    Thinking about publishing a book?

    http://funny-about-money.com/ 2008/ 09/ 27/ thinking-about-publishing-a-book/

My business partner and I just finished editing a book manuscript for a client of a client. Our client is a book packager (an outfit that puts books together for publishers); the subclient is an on-demand vanity publisher preparing to print a book written by the author of a fairly laughable conspiracy

The Book of Mormon: A 20th Century Text

    http://mormonmatters.org/ 2008/ 09/ 23/ the-book-of-mormon-a-20th-century-text/

There are many positions on which century the Book of Mormon originated in, but most seem to fall into two general camps: the book was largely produced in the fifth century by Moroni, or in the nineteenth century by Joseph Smith. There is a third view: the text was largely produced in the 20th century by committees of LDS Church employees.

    Ebook Reader Wars?

    http://www.thegoldenpencil.com/ 2008/ 09/ 16/ ebook-reader-wars/

(www.thegoldenpencil.com) One of the reasons I like blogs so much is I don’t have to try and track everything I think I should write about here. For example, I’ve been a proponent of ebooks since the beginning; I’ve been singularly unimpressed with ebook readers.

    Where'd the motivation go?

    http://christiesilvers.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ whered-motivation-go.html

Ahhh, I hate edits. I love that it takes less time to edit than it does to originally write a book, but I still dislike edits. rewrites, revisions, whatever you wanna call it.I would be done with the entire book today if my motivation hadn't gotten up and ran away this morning. I slacked yesterday, too.
