    update

    http://aboulet.com/ 2008/ 10/ 14/ update-2/

This past week was busy, as you can tell by my busy face to the left…because obviously your face gets smaller and your hat bigger when you are so busy. I was busy with a midterm, reading the pseudepigrapha for my independent study course, working on the Hebrew computer code for Accordance Bible

The Whale Road Reviewed at Black Gate

    http://billwardwriter.com/ the-whale-road-reviewed-at-black-gate/

My review of the gritty viking adventure The Whale Road was just posted over at BlackGate.com this weekend. This was a fantastic book, full of slick action sequences, vibrant details, and terrific prose. It’s told with one ear aimed at the poetry of the sagas, and the other at the modern military or adventure thriller.

    "...we shall never surrender..."

Blitz The Story Of December 29, 1940 by Margaret Gaskin I love this book and I want everyone to read it although I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea. It is literally one day out of months of nightly bombing raids conducted by the German Luftwaffe which presents a bit of a problem to write as there is no one particular character to follow.

    NYTBR: Polishing the Rails

    http://www.edrants.com/ nytbr-polishing-the-rails/

News emerged over the weekend that Dwight Garner was fleeing the New York Times Book Review for a gig as a daily books critic. With Rachel Donadio leaving the Book Review in the summer and Sam Tanenhaus performing double duty as editor of NYTBR and Week in Review, one wonders just who actually is running the NYTBR these days.
