The Similarities Between a Book Release and a Product Launch
http://blog.adaptiveblue.com/ ?p=1087Our book widgets are especially popular with authors who are releasing a book due to the ability of the widget to offer a single promotion and transaction point. We’re constantly in communication with these authors and a recent email from Laurel Snyder had me thinking that the release of a book is similar to a product launch.

The Faith of Barak Obama… Is Pretty Solid
http://www.goodwordediting.com/ faith-of-barak-obama-is-solid/ 486/Thomas Nelson sent me a review copy of The Faith of Barak Obama. After reading it carefully and in light of Obama’s speech last night, here’s what I think about the book. The book is thin but fulfills its promise. So cool for (pre)school
http://bathtubjunkie.net/ ?p=1130When my mom left for the airport yesterday, I decided to take Lucas shopping for his preschool supplies. I thought that it might help take my mind off missing her (nope!). I’ve been *so* excited about this new milestone for him. It was our very *first* time shopping for school supplies! Of course, I took pictures.

http://www.teleread.org/ blog/ 2008/ 08/ 29/ missed-the-joes-kindle-webinar-for-…Book Business Magazine hosted my Kindle webinar, and I had a lot of fun with the presentation. If you missed it, you can still watch it via this archive link which also lets you download my slide deck. We received quite a few questions from attendees and I wasn’t able to address them all during the session—so I thought I’d try to tackle a few via a blog post.

Book Review: I Love Dirt
http://www.dandelionpath.com/ index.php/ jewelersbench/ book_review_i_love_dirt/…Most of us (adults as well as children) don’t spend the time outdoors that our ancestors did in the past. Because of this we’ve grown rather disconnected from the wonders of nature. Research has demonstrated how beneficial being outdoors is for children’s mental & emotional well-being and yet we may still neglect this part of our lives.
