Why Most Spam Blogs are American

    http://www.plagiarismtoday.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ why-most-spam-blogs-are-american/

On the surface, the United States seems to be a hostile location for spam blogs. The DMCA makes it trivial for copyright holders to get their content removed from sites hosted in the U.S, anti-spam laws make things uncomfortable for email spammers, which often go hand in hand with Web spammers, and most hosts are very cooperative in removing junk from their servers.

    Blogger CAPTCHA Cracked

    http://www.plagiarismtoday.com/ 2008/ 04/ 28/ googles-blogspot-captcha-cracked/

Google’s Blogger service, already one of the largest sources of spam blogs on the Web, is now being innundated with another wave of spammers following the cracking of the Google CAPTCHA system. This means that spammers can now fully automate the process of creating and setting up new Blogger spam blogs, making the process even faster and enabling the creation of more spam blogs than ever before.

A Warning for Email List Admins

    http://www.plagiarismtoday.com/ 2008/ 04/ 23/ a-warning-for-email-list-admins/

Previously, I wrote an article about scraping via email. In it, I detailed how spam bloggers, especially those using Blogspot, would take an RSS feed, pass it through an RSS-to-Email service and have the resulting email messages delivered to their Post-via-Email address, thus converting the emails to new blog posts without the need for special blog scraping software.

    BlogSpot SPAM Heuristics

    http://voice.firefallpro.com/ 2008/ 04/ blogspot-spam-heuristics.html

Like many people I too get a lot of SPAM containing links to BlogSpot pages. The whole point is for a user to see a fairly trustworthy domain in an e-mail and click on it, then get quickly redirected to the intended site.

Did anyone see the recent South Park episode in which the Internet stopped and the kids went to California to find "more" Internet? We are experiencing something similar on our other blog, The Ethical Blogger, which has been locked down by Google due to suspected spam-like activity near or around the blog.

    http://ask.metafilter.com/ 85004/ How-can-I-get-rid-of-a-Blogspot-spam-blog

How can I get rid of a Blogspot spam blog? A year ago, I had a blog related to my professional interests set up on on Blogger. I posted a while, but eventually deleted it. It was not at all popular and used a very obscure address (i.e. obscureblogname.blogspot.com).

Where to get FREE Blogger XML Templates?

    http://blog.jammedph.com/ where-to-get-free-blogger-xml-templates/

Where to get FREE Blogger XML Templates? 19 Feb Posted by Jam at 6:54 pm. 4 comments Posted under Blogging, WordPress Aside from my self-hosted WordPress blogs, I also have Blogger accounts. The major problem with Blogger blogs (aside from permalinks) is looking for a nice layout, especially if you do not know how to make your own.
