This is a day late (or will be when I publish it) but still felt I should at least write about it. I was reading Pointless Banter (which if you aren’t reading you should be, it’s damn funny). Kevin wrote about his involvement with Blog Catalog’s “blogger’s unite“.

Earlier this week I made a call out for future blog post ideas in the BlogCatalog discussion. Not surprisingly most people responded wanting to know just what the heck goes into calculating their mysterious BlogRank numbers. Up until now, this has been a pretty tight-lipped secret as to prevent members from trying to game the system to boost their rank.

Today, bloggers across the world are uniting to speak out about human rights. It’s an interesting approach, taking a single day to blend voices in an effort to raise awareness. I have been thinking a lot about what I want to say because, sadly, there are so many topics to address I don’t know where to start.

Amnestry International and BlogCatalog are sponsoring today as a day to focus on human rights around the world. I’ll add a few personal thoughts in support of this effort. First, I would like to emphasize the value of people’s lives, no matter what they believe and where they live.

Since I put up something about todays Campain- Bloggers Unite for Human Rights on two of my other blogs. I decided to put something up on all of them. The more people can see there is a need to recognize global suffering, heartache, and abuse will be due to a mass amount of posting of the issue.

So today is 'Bloggers Unite For Human Rights' day hosted by the wonder blog catalog. Anyways, us bloggers are supposed to spread awareness about the issues of the world. Well, I'm not going to talk about the cyclone, or the Olympics, or any of those Human Rights issues that are going to be talked about by every single blogger that cares today.

BlogCatalog has organized a Community Human Rights Awareness Campaign. This effort challenged bloggers to do their part to help make the world a better place by posting about a particular social cause on a single day - today. Here is my contribution. My chosen topic is censorship.
