A Glimpse Into Personalized Medicine of the Future

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/ wp-dyn/ content/ article/ 2008/ 09/ 28/ AR2008092…

Addressing AdvaMed 2008, a medical technology industry conference in Washington last week, he spoke about the upcoming era of personalized m...

    Blackberry and IBM

Apparently, IBM has a good rep with Blackberry. Our CEO had a new Blackberry, which just would not configure correctly. Someone in my group had to spend an hour waiting on-line for on-call support, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that their help was very informative about RIM and IBM.

    Ten Post Round-Up: Aargh! Edition

    http://thedemocraticdaily.com/ 2008/ 09/ 19/ ten-post-round-up-aargh-edition/

I totally slipped up not posting, yesterday.  I had to get a new phone and my dealer hooked me up with the lastest form of crack, also known as the Blackberry (Curve, flavored).  I just want to thank John McCain for making that possible. I started researchin’ for today’s Ten Post Round-Up and I had this whole “opposite day” theme planned.

    Jott for the Blackberry

    http://www.leadershipbynumbers.com/ ms.nsf/ d6plinks/ BMAA-7HVU6Z

Talk into your Blackberry, and it sends out a text e-mail. Sounds hands-free, to me. Technology Review talks about Jott and fills in some details (as well as identifying some competitive offerings). What's interesting to me is that the voice processing is so good because it's low-tech.

    The E-mail Perimeter Keeps Changing

    http://www.leadershipbynumbers.com/ ms.nsf/ d6plinks/ BMAA-7HETP5

I had pinned my hopes on Blackberry Connect, as a sort of universal portable e-mail client. Nokia, now, has started to pull back on their commitment to the Blackberry Connect. On the other hand, IBM has worked out some terrific packaging with AT&T and Sprint for Domino integration through Lotus Traveler.
