In 1969, 14-year-old Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon’s hotel room in Toronto and was granted access by the Walrus himself to do an interview about peace. Levitan, who was (and still is) a Beatle’s fanatic, used a reel-to-reel tape deck to record the interview, which he says lasted about 40 minutes.

I began this series last week- a look at what Joe Tiller has done during his time at Purdue. Since the last time I focused on a positive, I'm going to look at something not-as-cheery: His record against historically powerful programs. I am pleased to say that I have very little to report today.  This is rare. It is hens teeth rare.  This is great because it is now officially the summer holidays and I expect I will be doing quite a lot of therapeutic blogging from here on in merely to stop myself strangling the children.

This July, Christie’s of London will auction a handwritten lyric sheet of Give Peace a Chance, which John gave Montreal teenager Gail Renard at the famous Bed-In in 1969.

"It'll fit." "No it won't." "It will." "No way." We were both right. Yesterday after much debate with my wife, I drove our long term BMW X5 to the bed store and bought our three year old daughter her first big-girl bed. But there was no way I was going to pay the $100 delivery fee, so down went the X5's seats and up went its tailgate.

I’m returning this item because it is NOT as described. The ultrasuede fabrics are pretty nice, although kind of thin, but the brown squares advertised as pin-tuck “fabrics” (which, admittedly, are pin-tucked) are made of REALLY cheap, ugly, fake velour material.
