Update on Status of My Family’s Diet & GFCF Bread, again
http://frugalabundance.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ update-on-status-of-my-famil…First the bread, I am trying a new recipe, will share results later today or tomorrow. The recipe is from Gluten Free [Cooking School]. It uses a flour mixture made with masa harina (a type of cornmeal) plus soy flour, cornstarch and brown rice flour, all relatively cheap in my neck of the woods.

Freeway of Love
http://oscarthepastor.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ freeway-of-love.htmlSo, in my continuing saga of seeing if I have Aspergers, I wanted to share my fascination with the Interstate Highway System. Don't ask me why, but I've had an odd fascination with freeways and especially the Interstates. The red, white and blue sign has been like a strange beacon, calling me to a world of networks of roads.

LRE, A Full Continuum
http://wheresthesun.org/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ lre-a-full-continuum/It’s annual review time again and time to talk about placement and program options. They can vary from district to district but one thing is certain whatever is suggested it’s important to ask how the placement is your child’s Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).

Kindergarten Roundup
http://lynnes.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ kindergarten-roundup/We had a parent/child kindergarten orientation at the elementary school this morning. It was less than successful, and my expectations were set quite low. Each preschool in the area has a designated day for these orientations. Parents bring in their kids, they’re disbursed among the kindergarten

And the verdict is…
http://tentativeequinox.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ and-the-verdict-is/Aspergers. My daughter officially has an Aspergers diagnosis. This is in addition to her already diagnosed learning disabilities and we still have to keep treating the inattention problem which, although no longer considered ADHD because part of autism is inability to focus, still has to be addressed.

I scream , you scream….
http://www.talkingfox.com/ 2008/ 05/ i-scream-you-scream/I’m a total snob when it comes to my ice cream. Even more so now that I’ve gone GFCF. Most of the rice and soy creams out there are pretty rank. It seems that if one doesn’t eat dairy one requires copious amounts of sugar. Not so with Good Karma desserts, which I glibly call my favorite Rice Cream.

Mother’s Day
http://songwriterparents.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ mothers-day/Mother’s Day was bitter sweet. Sweet because my adoring 7 children were so wonderful. They sang, they laughed…they lived to make me happy. Bitter… because our sweet Sarah wasn’t here. I miss her so, but I know one day I’ll see her again. She would be almost four years old now. Running right along side her brother’s and sisters…ah, what a sight I would have loved to have seen.

Aspergers and Introversion
http://life-with-aspergers.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ aspergers-and-introversion.ht…A lot of the more common behaviours and feelings associated with Aspergers seem to lend themselves to a definition of Introversion and it's tempting to see aspies as simply "introverts" but this clearly isn't the case. It is true however, to suggest that there are more introverted aspies than extroverted ones.

Born on a Blue Day
http://reneetheneohippy.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ born-on-a-blue-day/I’m reading a book, Born on a Blue Day, by Daniel Tammet, an aspy savant. This book is amazing. I’ve not completed the book yet so this is not a review; rather, an introduction. My friend lent me the book when I was describing, to her, the way I see words in general conversation.
