What's in a title?
http://eurocrime.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 08/ whats-in-title.htmlThe curse of the pesky title change strikes again: The new Isabel Dalhousie from Alexander McCall Smith is out in September in the US as The Comforts of a Muddy Saturday and will appear in the UK in October as The Comfort of Saturdays: The second in the Burren series from Cora Harrison

Book Review - Love Over Scotland by Alexander McCall Smith
http://www.duffbert.com/ duffbert/ blog.nsf/ d6plinks/ TDUF-7H7VQROK... So now I'm up-to-date with all the 44 Scotland Street novels since I completed Love Over Scotland last night. Alexander McCall Smith weaves together the lives of the occupants at 44 Scotland Street with all their charm and quirkiness. The best part is I'm already on hold at the library for the next installment due out in the next month.

In The Company Of Cheerful Ladies (#16)
http://www.whineandcheese.net/ whine/ 2008/ 07/ in-the-company.htmlStill trying to do some housekeeping when it comes to my book posts... though at this point some actual or more productive housecleaning or trip preparation would be much more productive... it is hard to believe that this time next week we'll be on our way to Beijing.

Summer Joys
http://suko95.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ summer-joys.htmlWe have beautiful grapes! It's an absolute thrill, a real joy, to grow grapes on our property, after waiting two years for the vines to produce this sweet fruit! (You'll have to excuse me please, I get excited about this kind of stuff.

Bond
http://amyha.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 24/ bond/Bond Thursday, 24 July 2008 by amyha I’m reading one of the very few Alexander McCall Smith’s books that I haven’t read — “The Careful Use of Compliments“. And as I’ve already raved maniacally mentioned casually how I love his writing, I’ll just leave you with these lines, selected from the 3 pages that took my breath away.

The Careful Use Of Compliments (Sunday Philosophy Club) ~ By Alexander McCall Smith
http://zeitgeist.the-world-in-focus.com/ ?p=802As I have previously posted I love reading Alexander McCall Smith books. I can never decide which series I prefer, No1 Ladies Detective Agency, Scotland Street, or the Sunday Philosophy Club series. I think I prefer whichever series I am reading at the time.

Book Review - Espresso Tales by Alexander McCall Smith
http://www.duffbert.com/ duffbert/ blog.nsf/ d6plinks/ TDUF-7GQPRMFollowing my enjoyment of 44 Scotland Street, I picked up a copy of Alexander McCall Smith's sequel titled Espresso Tales. Still the same quirky characters as 44 Scotland Street, and still more of a "slice of life" book with no overall driving plotline.

Alexander McCall Smith and Coffee Shops
http://coffeeshopjournal.com/ 2008/ 07/ 18/ alexander-mccall-smith-and-coffee-sh…Flying home from Boston yesterday I was reading Love Over Scotland by Alexander McCall Smith. Having just typed that, the book sounds so “paperback romance”! It’s not…Alexander McCall Smith has written lots of great contemporary Scotland-based fiction.

People!
http://kaet.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 17/ people/I was out late last night, and didn’t put the computer on once I did get home, so no post and not much crocheting. (I have finished Syd Rabbit’s tummy, but not attached it yet.) The books I have to discuss have no unifying theme at all, that I can think of. Any suggestions? 206.

Books
http://juiciejulz.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ books.htmlI said yesterday that I was reading. I've been reading a series called The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. I'm on book #5 which I thought was the last one. I checked out the author on the web and found out that there are 3 more in the series. I'll have to go to the library and see if I can get them.
