    Rethink needed in country football

Rethink needed in country football August 29, 2008 · Comment Aaron’s comment and a discussion I had today made me think about the state of country football. You read and hear about the success stories and sometimes about the total failures, but you don’t often learn about the clubs that are struggling.

    I Hate Corn

    http://thisdevilsworkday.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 08/ 08/ i-hate-corn/

Today I had to sit through a particular kind of training program related to University - essentially it’s to teach me to be a mentor. It’s not directly related to my course, but by participating in this program it will actually be displayed on my academic transcript, and that’s always a plus when you’re trying to get a good job.

    AFL Tipping…

    http://with-malice.com/ 2008/ 08/ 04/ afl-tipping/

Normally I don’t speak about my tipping prowess, or lack thereof.  But I’m getting a bit of pressure from an old, old mate of mine back in Oz (hey Shane!). I participate in a tipping competition with my old State League volleyball club - Mornington VC.  Currently leading it, but that’s no big deal

ArenaBowl XXII has Soul, Philadelphia wins Title By: J.J. Jack The City of Brotherly Love finally had their first ArenaBowl championship. You read it, for a town with a namesake ‘’the city of brotherly love'’, and a team with a moniker that goes something as simple as ‘’Soul'’, Philadelphia winning

    Eagles Fly Again

    http://rodneyolsen.net/ 2008/ 07/ eagles-fly-again.html

I can’t remember the last time I was able to go to an AFL game, so when I was invited to head to Subiaco yesterday I jumped at the chance. With the way the West Coast Eagles have been playing this year I didn’t really expect a win but was happy to support my team during the tough times.

Kenyatta Jones’ Year Is Getting Worse

    http://youbeenblinded.com/ kenyatta-jones-year-is-getting-worse/

Former NFL player Kenyatta Jones is having a year to forget. First, he was arrested in March for battery on a law enforcement officer. Jones was being escorted by security from a nightclub for attempting to piss on the dance floor when he shoved an officer into a wall and was eventually tasered.

    Dogs v. Cats

As you may know I am a fan of Australian Rules Football.  I was born and raised in Boston, but yet I still love Aussie Rules.   I have been following it for a number of years now.  I barrack for the Western Bulldogs (you don’t root for a team in Australia as ‘root’ is slang for something consenting adults do in their bedroom).
