British Sea Power start the final day and drive away any remnants of the morning's deluge. Unfortunately the wind, or the Main Stage's volume limiter, conspire to also wash away the sound, so only the manic flag waving at the front gives hint to how good they are.

It's just not fair. Basically every blog residing in the US has nothing else to talk about except SXSW and the amazing bands they've just seen or going to see in an instant. While I'm sitting in cold and rainy Germany and no bands to see right now, everybody else seems to have the time of their lives.

Its a big Hola to our friends at the Sugarhill 08 music festival. Their festival is about 5 weeks away and we just wanted to wish them luck in the final weeks of preparation.  We think the festival has a cracking music and late night programme this year, but I guess that’s because we programmed the festival for them.

Offset Festival Lineup News Most of the world was quicker than us at bringing you the latest lineup updates for Offset Festival 2008 (hey, we work too!), but the announcements are so good I want to get myself excited again by running through the list one more time, and maybe even convince a few of you ditherers to snap up your tickets for our August shindig in Hainault Forest.

The New Age of Electric R/C July 11, 2008 | Leave a Comment As a kid growing up, I mostly tinkered with R/C cars and trucks. But almost 20 years ago, as I was nearing the end of my teens, I got an itch to start flying . . . Not sure where this new venture would take me, I headed to my local hobby shop to buy my first R/C plane.

For whatever reason I was introduced to an astounding number of terrific new artists this month. Perhaps having my headphones on 8 hours a day at work has something to do with it. In any case, here are this month’s Musical Box picks.
