Dinner Solutions for Busy Mom Entrepreneurs

Fairy Godmother, Deborah Gardner writes: I know this may sound a little bizarre, but homemade freezer meals have changed my life, it’s the truth! The fact of the matter is that while I am spending so much time working to make sure Bulgarian orphans have food to fill their tummies, my own 5 children and husband are surviving off of pizza toast, quesadillas and take-out.

Want to Know How to Design Your Life?

    http://www.slowdownfast.com/ blog/ want-to-know-how-to-design-your-life/

From my article How to Design Your Life at The Change Blog: There are no guarantees that life will turn out the way you want… but you have a better chance of it turning out how you want if you know how to design your own life. I like the image of an architect designing a building by first laying out the blueprints.

What Part of Work From Home Don’t You Understand

    http://www.startupnation.com/ blogs/ index.php/ 2008/ 09/ 30/ what-part-of-work-…

I have a slight problem with the whole home-entrepreneur gig. Apparently, to you, me, and the rest of the Startup Nation, working-at-home means that you are WORKING at your HOME. That seems clear enough. However, the deluded, including the hubby, sometimes slip into thinking that if you WORK from home, you’re actually just sitting around waiting for something to do.

    Pesky mothers

    http://bluemilk.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 09/ 30/ pesky-mothers/

I have a guest post up at Hoyden About Town responding to an opinion piece by Rachel Funari which essentially argues that mothers are hijacking feminism. Yeah, you can imagine how I responded.. or you can read for yourself over there.

    Bite the bullet

    http://bluemilk.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 09/ 30/ bite-the-bullet/

“… what I am saying to you loud and clear today is that this Australian Government believes the time has come to bite the bullet on this and we intend to do so..”  I like the sound of this phrase from the Prime Minister, I like the way the Productivity Commission angled its report into support for

Does it really take a divisive stereotype to catch a divisive stereotype?

Author: blue milk - kinda radical feminist who kinda identifies with the “suburban mum” tag these days. Not so long ago Monica Dux, in promoting the publication of jointly-authored book The Great Feminist Denial, attempted to initiate a conversation about re-branding feminism (in this opinion piece).

More Power for Women in the Household: Feminist Progress or Yet a Third Shift?

    http://www.babble.com/ CS/ blogs/ strollerderby/ archive/ 2008/ 09/ 26/ more-pow…

Though it purports to be about remote controls and television habits, this article in the Washington Post on a recent Pew poll of control in families is really about the work women are doing for their families, many of whom are already working all day away from their families.

    Stress Free Holidays

    http://www.careerandkids.com/ stress-free-holidays/

Whenever September rolls around again, I begin thinking about the holidays.  Specifically, Christmas.  The reason I do it is not to stress myself out more, but to make the holidays a fun and relaxing time.

Is There Anything Spiritual About Works of Art?

    http://www.laitman.com/ 2008/ 09/ is-there-anything-spiritual-about-works-of-art…

A question I received: In a previous blog entry you wrote, “Everything relating to the body’s desires (such as food, sex, and family) that exceeds the normal needs, is superfluous. Hence it is harmful for the body and the soul, as well as for all of the surrounding nature, and it makes man imbalanced with nature.
