Since Google acquired Jaiku in October 2007, people had high hopes for Jaiku. However, nothing much has really happened and Jaiku was made invite only. {For anyone who don’t know what Jaiku is, it is a micro-blogging site similar to Twitter.

While I do have Twitter, Facebook and several other accounts I barely use them and cannot see a real gain for using them extensively. Quite the opposite. Still, I was invited by Joe from Webby’s World to Kwippy which from first looks seems to be some sort of Twitter clone.

Jaiku is better than Twitter.  it got comments, it supports Channels via #channelname, it got Geoloc positioning (or manual), indicative gesture icons, IM bot, Search, Feed Importing and had better support in phones when it came out.  and it also got Better Official Widgets and Badges.
