    Bye-bye Boise (hello D.C.?)

Column by Patrick Hite patrick@accnation.com Most of the news coming out of the ACC’s spring meetings was expected — no 18-game schedule in basketball or 9-game schedule in football– but I thought the best news this week was that, after 2008, the ACC won’t be affiliated with the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho.

    Cat Wiki

    http://annegilesclelland.typepad.com/ insidevtkw/ 2008/ 05/ catwiki.html

    Short Shorts

    http://nrvliving.typepad.com/ nrvliving/ 2008/ 05/ short-shorts.html

There's a lot that's been happening recently, and I've gotten to virtually none of it here on the blog. So ... allow me to introduce Short Shorts, the category established for when things just get a little bit crazy. Can the Roanoke Valley and NRV Valley coexist? This guy tells you what he thinks.

Why The War Don't Scare Me

    http://mattikai.blogspot.com/ 2007/ 05/ why-war-dont-scare-me.html

Things happen. Things happen all the time. Things happen as a result of anger, fear, hatred, love, concern, grief, stupidity, wisdom, knowledge, nature and I think the list goes on. By things, I mean mostly horrible things. A VA Tech rampage, a 9/11, a Pearl Harbor.
