I was talking to friend in New York City the other day about the financial crisis, and she told me about a scene she had witnessed in the lobby of the Warwick Hotel. Four Swedish tourists, who clearly had been on a shopping spree in Manhattan, fueled by the still cheap dollar, were trying to cram all their purchases into four suitcases.

Branding in the Energy Technology Revolution

    http://freshpeel.com/ 2008/ 09/ branding-in-the-energy-technology-revolution/

Wednesday night I had the rare honor of hearing New York Times columnist, best-selling author and three-time Pulitzer winner, Thomas L. Friedman speak at the OSU Executive Management Briefing. I’ve been a fan of Friedman’s work ever since 2006 I when decided to picked up The World is Flat to see what all the fuss was about.

Charlie Rose - A Conversation with Thomas L. Friedman

    http://integral-options.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ charlie-rose-conversation-with-t…

Great discussion - Friedman is right when he asserts that it is the engineers who will save the planet, not the environmentalists. And he is also right when we says that legislation will not solve the problems, only innovation and financial incentives will work.Tags: Charlie Rose, Conversation, Thomas L.

‘There’s nothing lost if the Nano isn’t produced’

CHANDRASHEKAR HARIHARAN writes from New Delhi: The Singur story took a twist when Ratan T threatened to pull out. The Communist chief minister Buddhadeb B squirmed under the collar. Mamata B faltered: could she be right in pushing it beyond the brink? And then the entire Indian industry decided to throw its weight behind the promoters.

Denmark: Saving Energy Can Be Easy Thomas L. Friedman wrote a great book on globalization called “The World is Flat”. (See Wiki for more Info.) Every now and then, Friedman writes articles about topics relating to globalization and every now and then I get to read them in the International Herald Tribune.
