The High Fan Quality of Battlestar Galactica
http://www.medialoper.com/ hot-topics/ television/ the-high-fan-quality-of-battl…There was an interesting article in the AP yesterday about Battlestar Galactica, and post-finale projects that the producers are planning that will be set in the Galaticaverse. You see, being a Puritanical society most people had a fear of God. But if there was one thing that could scare them even more then God it was Satan.

You see, I was the kind of 8 year old boy who found the idea of reading an Encyclopedia to be just as exciting and fun as watching your average Transformers episode.

The Long Tail Versus Tomorrow’s Garbage: Why Book Blogs Kick Traditional Media Into A Cocked Hat
http://crimealwayspays.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 08/ long-tail-versus-tomorrows-garbag…The slashing of the Los Angeles Times’ books section has kick-started the old ‘death of books’ jalopy again, with traditional media commentators unsure of whether they should celebrate book-related websites and blogs as the last hope for book reviews, or wring their hands despairingly because the print media is tossing the keys of the city over the wall to the barbarians waiting at the gate.

Romaticism vs. Empiricism
http://relationary.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 08/ 03/ romaticism-vs-empiricism/I’ve just finished reading The Long Tail by Chris Anderson as well as a fine article “Should you invest in the long tail?” in the Economist by Anita Elberse. Although I take both pieces of writing with a grain of salt one thing stands out.
