Under The Weather
http://blog.supersuccessfulsecrets.com/ ?p=45I’ve been feeling a little sick lately. I have a head cold, so I’ve been in bed reading “The Four Hour Work Week” almost nonstop. Unfortuantely, I have a bunch of finals due in the next few days, and a lot to study for. In the coming posts, I’d like to talk about outsourcing though.

Book of the week: 4 Hour Work Week
http://avacado8.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 11/ book-of-the-week-4-hour-work-week/It is pretty rare when I can read a book cover to cover in a few sittings. This book kept me compelled for hours as I lay on the couch watching playoff hockey. The basic premise of this book is that you can get 10 times more done, make 10 times more money with 1/16 the time and effort.

Would-be Entrepreneurs must protect their mindset
http://forleapsake.com/ blog/ would-be-entrepreneurs-must-protect-their-mindset/…Would-be Entrepreneurs must protect their mindset May 6th, 2008 Today I realized that most people are not in support of the idea of “going out on your own”. Most people are afraid of this idea and will attempt to dissuade anyone who suggests that they would like to become an entrepreneur. Many

Was Another New York Times Bestseller Plagiarized?
http://www.johnwinsor.com/ my_weblog/ 2008/ 04/ was-another-new.htmlI’m not one to read popular business books, but on a recent trip I decided to pick up Tim Ferriss’, The 4-Hour Workweek. With all of the cultural momentum around the book, it’s #6 on the New York Times Hardcover Advice Bestseller List and such a provocative title who wouldn’t pick it up? As I started to read Chapter 14 on page 230 something sounded familiar.

This is why I love the Internet
http://garysaid.com/ chapters/ 002996.phpOver the last 24 hours: I've been watching live video from DeLoach winery (in Napa Valley?) watching Kevin Rose, Robert Scoble, Gary Vaynerchuk (wine guy) and Tim Ferris ( The 4 hour work week ). And typing questions and getting answers from the live video! Plus we all got an invite to a wine party tonight, but I didn't get on a plane and go, I really really should have.

Book Review: The 4-Hour Workweek, by Timothy Ferriss
http://blog.iamnotashamed.net/ 2008/ 03/ 22/ book-review-the-4-hour-workweek-by-…Last week I read The 4-Hour Workweek, by Timothy Ferriss. Considering I currently don’t have any ‘workweek’ to speak of, I figure 4 hours might be a step in the right direction, especially if he’s suggesting that’s all you need to work. It was a decent read.

Are we selling ourselves short? Work less by charging more?
http://www.sergetheconcierge.com/ 2008/ 03/ are-we-selling.htmlInstead of working all these hours in order to make a living or sustain it, should we charge more. Are we selling ourselves short by underestimating the value of our time and work to others. I was wondering just that after a discussion yesterday at South by Southwest where one of the panelists noted that he was given the advice to charge 3 times the rate he was about to quote.

In Other Words
http://www.getquikblog.com/ 2008/ 02/ in-other-words.htmlDoes business advise from the 60's and 80's apply today? After reading Peter Drucker's classic "The Effective Executive" (1966) and "In Search of Excellence" (1982) - Thomas J Peters and Robert H. Waterman Jr., I would answer "yes". First a short review of the two books.
