    Congratulations to CNET for being acquired by CBS for a 40% premium. I have always admired the company and I am curious to see how it changes as it becomes part of a larger media company which has so many legacy parts to its business.

    CBS has agreed to acquire CNET Networks (News.com) in a deal valued at $1.8 billion, the companies said Thursday (today). CNET Networks-owned sites include : CNETZDNetGameSpotTV.comMP3.comCNET News.comUrbanBabyCHOWSearch.comBNETMySimonTechRepublic The purchase price comes to $11.50 per share, representing a 44 percent premium over Wednesday's closing price of $7.95.
