Deutsche Bank Predictions
http://www.leftylinks.com/ blog/ ?p=63Deutsche Bank Predictions August 25th, 2008 Quick and dirty Deutsche Bank Championship predictions this week, folks. I’ll be away from my desk for a while and won’t have another chance. So excuse the brevity this week; I’ll return to my usual rambling soon… This week’s 10 players to watch at the Deutsche Bank Championship: Robert Allenby: Has made 21 cuts in a row.

http://www.leftylinks.com/ blog/ ?p=61The Barclays Predictions - the Playoffs Begin August 19th, 2008 With the start of the Barclays this week at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, NJ, the FedEx Cup Playoffs are upon us. I have to admit I’m not as excited as Federal Express and the PGATour want me to be—as I wrote a few days ago, the

Growing the Game With Bad Setups
http://thegnnblog.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 08/ growing-game-with-bad-setups.htmlWe've been talking on here about the Olympics as a venue to potentially grow the game of golf - or, at least, that is the argument posed by proponents of getting golf into the 2016 games. (If Chicago gets those games, which course would you have host? Olympia Fields?! AHHHH!) Anyway, here is another angle on what is not growing the game - boring courses.

PGA Championship Predictions
http://www.leftylinks.com/ blog/ ?p=57PGA Championship Predictions August 4th, 2008 Here we go, folks, the final major of the year. The final big one, except for the “Playoffs,” which, let’s be honest now, don’t carry as much weight as the PGA marketing campaign insists they do.

WGC Bridgestone Invitational Predictions
http://www.leftylinks.com/ blog/ ?p=55WGC Bridgestone Invitational Predictions July 28th, 2008 I’m tempted this week to pick Tiger Woods to win the World Golf Championships – Bridgestone Invitational. With his record here (6 wins, a 2nd, and two 4ths in last nine years) I wouldn’t put it past him to win without even being in the field.

Muirfield Village - Additional Verdict
http://thegnnblog.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 06/ muirfield-village-additional-verdict.h…Steve Flesch is not a fan of the setup at Memorial. And he blames it on Jack Nicklaus. No player came to town this week saying, "Please groove the bunkers and make the rough tall enough to hide rhinos." Who, then? "It's a four-letter word, and he runs this place," Flesch said. Yeow.

Memorial Tournament Predictions
http://www.leftylinks.com/ blog/ ?p=37Memorial Tournament Predictions May 27th, 2008 No Tiger this week at the Memorial. Good. I’m really not sure how he’ll play coming back—whether he’ll need some time to get the rust off, like the rest of the mere mortals, or whether he’ll just jump back in to domination. At least I won’t have to make that call today.
