SEATTLE - The Coast Guard assisted two people who were in distress southwest of Ledbetter Point near Willapa Bay, Wash., Monday. Coast Guard Group Astoria, Ore., received a call at 1 p.m. concerning two people aboard a 40-foot vessel that was taking on water.

MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 42-year-old male from the Burns Harbor, a 1,000-foot iron ore transport vessel, after he was experiencing chest pains. The Burns Harbor was transiting 60 miles east of here in Lake Superior.

BOSTON- A Coast Guard boat crew medevaced a passenger aboard the Balmy Days ferry near Monhegan Island, Maine, around 11:25 a.m., today. Coast Guard Station Boothbay Harbor received a cell phone call from the captain of the 65-foot ferry around 10:55 a.m., requesting assistance for a passenger who was experiencing possible heart attack symptoms.

SEATTLE - A 40-year-old woman who became ill was medically evacuated by the Coast Guard from a 56-foot fishing vessel today near Grays Harbor, Wash. At 3:13 p.m., Coast Guard Group/Air Station Astoria, Ore., received a call from the master of the charter fishing vessel Ranger requesting medical assistance for the woman.

BOSTON (D1 Public Affairs) - The Coast Guard ended an extensive search that began Friday when the owner of an adrift paddle boat called Station Boothbay Harbor at 9:30 a.m. today and reported she was safe. The owner said she suspected her paddle boat broke free from its mooring with nobody in it and did not realize until today the Coast Guard was searching for her.
