Patty Hurst Shifter: Life is Mostly Waiting
http://insomniaradio.net/ 2008/ 09/ 06/ patty-hurst-shifter-life-is-mostly-waiti…Bringing us a great blend of American rock ala The Replacements, Raleigh North Carolina based, Patty Hurst Shifter released this song, “Life is Mostly Waiting” on their Fugitive Glue EP in 2007. Its supposedly the first in a series of three EPs that lets the band stay productive and keep releasing songs in small bursts, which will give them some nice breathing room creatively.

September means conferences start again!
http://www.buzznetworker.com/ september-means-conferences-start-again/That’s it. August is over and taking with it, my own official view of summer and lazy days. I’ve been out of high school since 1993 and yet, no matter what, September always feels like the new year to me. Already, there’s a whole host of conferences coming up, just in the next few weeks.

A Short RNC Anecdote
http://www.ustream.tv/ blog/ 2008/ 08/ 31/ a-short-rnc-anecdote/Yesterday, at 4:00 pm sharp, all non security personnel were forced out of the building. As we walked passed the cold faced Secret Service standing at the door I could hear the heavy pant of the K-9 Bomb Detection Dogs. Turned around for just a second, my eyes idly followed a large German Shepherd as he paced around the room and disappeared past a dozen men in black.

SXSW voting Extended
http://www.webbedenvironments.com/ blog/ index.php/ 2008/ 08/ 30/ sxsw-voting-ex…Because of the flood of last minute voting Friday (I’m thinking mostly for my presentations), the good folks at SXSW have extended voting through Labour Day weekend (Monday night at 11:59 PM, but not sure if that EST, CST or PST). So, if you haven’t gotten around to it, go out there and vote [...]

Websites in review - Week 1
http://ronaldbradford.com/ blog/ websites-in-review-week-1-2008-08-30/I often come across new websites, quite often by accident, or by indirection in links from looking at other details. The Internet is an amazing place, and one could spend all day reading such a variety information and only touch on just a few specific topics.
