Thanks for briefly mentioning torture at the Democratic National Convention, Al Gore. Barely any speaker at the DNC has touched it. Thanks for talking in the abstract about respect for the Constitution. No speaker I’ve heard so far other than you at the DNC has touched it, besides Bill Richardson (who seems to have departed from the approved text of his remarks).

Joku is Illari’s entry for the Chain Reaction Rapid Prototyping Session. It’s a very slow paced game, with what might be an excessively long recharge time on your shot. Though that encourages wise use of it! I think with more time the slow pace could be utilized more to create a real sense of stealth and strategy.

I really would have liked to see jakman4242’s Cluster Buster get further along in development. The amber monitor look was interesting, and it has a very satisfying and huge explosion when everything chains.

AGGREGAT is maw’s finely crafted entry for the Chain Reaction Session at Shmup-Dev. It’s quite a good game, simple enough as a prototype but making great use of the ideas presented. As a bit of a change, your “ship” doesn’t move. Rather, it’s a turret in the center of the screen.

If you’ve been following the Shmup-Dev Rapid Prototype Sessions, you’ll recognize the cool abstract style of kdmiller3 in Rocket Bomb. This is a testament to the utility of his game engine (which like mine uses Box2D for physics), that it allows such different game play styles and mechanics to be created.
