Here is a fun little project, build your own mech computer chair and drive it around your office! The M01-Mech robotic computer chair uses a simple bi-ped mechanical walking robot design. It doesn’t move very fast, but it does prove that people can build their own complex robot designs for under $1000.

Parallax Jukebox 20 tunes to celebrate the fact the sun's not just got its' hat on, but is wearing it at a rather jaunty angle. Number One on the jukebox is released as a single this week, and therefore can be considered Parallax View Single Of The Week, with the artist(e) no doubt celebrating this honour when touring at the end of the month! 1.

Zizek on love. Seems to be an overplayed theme but I’ve recently experienced some of my own turmoil that has confirmed certain aspects of Zizek’s brief love monologues for me, but has also lead me to disagree with a particular concept of love that Zizek puts forward.

by Polaski I’m officially releasing Parallax to the public after its been featured on inq-mag as its launching point for its new. Parallax details some of my best work in mid-2007 which sparked so much interest at kahvi, di.fm, and inq-mag. It was this mix that alot have dubbed me the “Transition master”.

I’ve recently had a paper published in the International Journal of Zizek studies titled, “There’s a Crack in Everything that’s How the Light Gets In” . Slavoj Zizek is arguably the world’s most famous living philosopher.

I just saw the most amazing effect created with CSS on the web the other day. I figured I should share it with everyone. It is an effect called parallax scrolling, which is essentially creating the illusion of depth using 2D graphics by moving background images slower than foreground images.

So, as I wouldn’t shut up about in this post I’m doing this little experiment with three blogs where one should suffice. Don’t ask why. It’s an Idea I got and I refuse to let it go. After trying a lot of different methods, all of them painful, I finally managed to accumulate the wisdom of the internets to achieve my perhaps ill-concieved goal.

Mini-Flash Post on 08 May 2008 This project, called “Mini-Flash”, is a programmable LED Sequencer/Flasher that is based around the PICAXE 08M microcontroller. It is basically a spin-off of the Pro-Flash Programmable LED Flasher/Sequencer which is based around the larger Picaxe 18X microcontroller.
