I’m checking out the new Open-Office beta 3 - still disapointing

There’s a new start screen opening via a desktop shortcut : Pressing the Open Document button in the new start panel will use the new Vista file dialog (which is a good point !): But after opening the new document I started and trying to save it

Saving images out of an ODF (OpenOffice) Document

In OpenOffice, when you right-click on an image, there is no option to "Save Image to File". In order to pull the images of the document, you need to save the document in the ODF (native OpenOffice) format.

Table and table-text flow control features for OpenOffice Writer

Review of the New OpenOffice 3 beta

My review can be summed up in two words: it rocks! Ok, now you can go back to your other activities. Just kiddin, let’s dig a bit deeper. First, since this isn’t a stable release you might not want to install this version yet as your main office application.

A blogger in Italy named ercolinux wrote two items — one here where he writes about Lindependence and one here where he translates the Declaration of Lindependence into Italian.
