And All Along I Thought Winnipeggers Were Nice
http://denniskanemontrealcanadiens.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 15/ and-all-along-i-…Geez, I thought people in Winnipeg were nice people. But it turns out they’re no different than a couple of people in other cities. Surprisingly, some Winnipeggers don’t like the Habs. I don’t understand it, but it’s the way of the world, I suppose.

Habs Lose Ferland, Sign White
http://rumormethis.com/ talking-hockey/ team-reports/ habs-lose-ferland-sign-whi…RDS is reporting that the Montreal Canadiens have lost Jonathan Ferland to an Austrian team. Also the Habs have signed Ryan White of the Calgary Hitmen. Ferland who seemed to be a career minor leaguer, chose to go and sign in Europe. Probably a wise decision as the Habs were never going to bring him to the big leagues.

Hossa Silencing Skeptics, So Far
http://rumormethis.com/ features/ 2008-playoffs/ hossa-silencing-skeptics-so-far…The biggest knock on Marian Hossa was his play in the post season. Know that Hossa has played 12 games in the post season this year, where are the critics? When Marian Hossa played for the Ottawa Senators his performance was undoubtedly marginal for a player with his talent.

Ted Lindsay Means Well, But Vlad Konstantinov Was No Bobby Orr Or Doug Harvey
http://denniskanemontrealcanadiens.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ ted-lindsay-mean…I’m sorry, but Ted Lindsay’s 82 years old now, and so some of his reality must have packed it in. Vladimir Konstantinov was a better defenceman than Bobby Orr? Sorry, Ted. No one was better than Bobby Orr. And he says Doug Harvey was the greatest ever before Konstantinov but didn’t have the bodychecking ability Konstantinov had? Sorry again, Ted.

Bluelines: Could Adam Graves Become a Rangers Coach?
http://blogs.msg.com/ gameon/ 2008/ 05/ bluelines-is-ra.htmlThe line is forming at the left for the Panthers' head coaching job. Already Pat Quinn and Perry Pearn have made it clear that they're interested in working with their pal Jacques Martin. Kudos to Florida's top hockey writer, Brian Biggane of the Palm Beach Post, for reaching both Quinn and Pearn, currently the Rangers' assistant coach.

Beyond Brunnstrom: Dredging for Talent
http://lionsinwinter.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ beyond-brunnstrom-dredging-for-tale…So Fabian Brunnstrom has flown. To Dallas. The Canadiens were losers in these sweepstakes, but nowhere near a big losers as those teams not even mentioned in the sweepstakes. How many teams were looking at Brunnstrom? Six? Maybe eight? This is a free player. Through development.

Malkin Blasts Away For Pittsburgh. He Must Have Heard About Bobby Rousseau.
http://denniskanemontrealcanadiens.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ malkin-blasts-aw…When Pittsburgh star Evgeny Malkin skated in alone and surprised everyone by blasting his slapshot by Flyers’ goalie Martin Biron from only about ten feet out, I knew it was time to pull out my old scrapbook. It was circa 1965, and Montreal speedster Bobby Rousseau, a slapshot specialist and off-season golf pro in Ste.
