Division Dispatch #3
http://divisionstreet.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 12/ division-dispatch-3/In Studs Terkel’s Division Street: America, Division Street is a metaphor. But here in Chicago, Division Street is a living, breathing metaphor, and from time to time on this blog, I like to check in with it to see what it says about our city, our lives, our nation.

Manny the Greatest?
http://ask14.sullivantire.com/ ?p=68Manny said in an article in the Boston Herald today that he is the greatest left fielder ever to play Fenway. Actually, you like to see this type of attitude in a player, because to be a successful professional athlete, you have to be confident in your abilities. It’s this type of attitude that leads to the success that Manny has had in the game of baseball.

Idea for the Next Topps Gimmick Card
http://baseballcardblog.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ idea-for-next-topps-gimmick-card…We all know it's coming, and I'm probably not too far off base to assume there's a room of monkeys with typewriters at One Whitehall coming up with ideas. I'm speaking, of course, about the next Topps gimmick card.

Minnesota 9, Boston 8
http://puntingbaxter.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 12/ minnesota-9-boston-8/There’s certainly nothing like a three-plus hour Sunday night baseball game that gets you home post-midnight to start off the work week on the right foot. Weekend Recap
http://nyycolbysox.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ weekend-recap_12.htmlDarrell Rasner is a pretty good pitcher, and the Yankees should be very thankful for the stability he's brought to the rotation. But Jonathan Papelbon just didn't have it and he gave up the game winning hit to Mike Lamb in the 9th, blowing his second save in a row and causing the Minnesota water jugs to cower in fear...
