My name is Ronald Beekelaar. I'm a Microsoft MVP of Virtual Machine Technology, based in Amsterdam. I have my own consultancy firm, and since 2002 I focus on virtualization. At first, this was strictly VMware-oriented, but a few years later this included Microsoft's virtualization products as well.

As a new Exchange MVP attending this year’s summit in Seattle Washington I felt a lot like a rookie at the All-Star game. It has been my first time in the MVP summit and in Seattle, the experience was fantastic developers from all the over world, passionate about technology and very professional. It was really amazing meeting all the great SharePoint MVPs face to face talking with them, play with them Paintball , everybody is talking the same language SHAREPOINT.

For the last 4-5 days I have been in Seattle surrounded by almost 1,800 MVPs from around the world. Not only was I able to meet Expression MVPs from the US, Germany and India but spend hours with the members of Microsoft development teams for Expression Studio programs and the IE 8 team to see whole is planned for future.

For the last couple months I've been working on a project that launched the week of the 2008 MVP Global Summit. It's a new resource for Microsoft Expression Web users - the Expression Web Wiki. The wiki was 'seeded' with content from the Expression Web Help Files, but as most wikis go, it's up for editing by the community for corrections and additions.

Microsoft said about 1,800 people attended this year’s MVP Summit from countries around the world. Aside from the fun and meeting virtual colleagues in person, MVPs met with Product Groups and had the opportunity to learn and give lots of feedback.
