The Monday after Lotusphere. One of the harder days to go back to work. First, the emails that didn't get returned last week need to be filtered and replied to or delegated. Maybe some of the senders will read the out of office message and actually call the helpdesk instead of waiting for a response from me telling them to do that.

Great session by Andy on herding cats through the Domino 8 upgrade process. Talked about getting your proposal approved by stressing the economic benefits of the upgrade, along with the new features, and reminded us of using statrep - remember that db? He has some great customizations he'll be adding to his blog for download along with the presentation.

Sat in the Domino * Directories session. They talked about the new features in the Domino 8 and 8.5 timeline. The most interesting is the future of using LDAP directories to store Domino user and groups data instead of the Domino directory.

BlackBerry has now teamed with IBM Lotus Connections.  When CEO, Mike Lazaridis realized that globalization is forcing companies to be more competitives in the work force virtually.  When Lotus arrived, Lazaridis integrated the software in the new BlackBerry Smartphones so that employees could stay up to date on new information and not miss the boat on anything.
