Archiving Media
http://www.internetresearchleague.com/ ?p=117For the last couple of weeks I have been absorbed within the NHL Playoffs. I have been following the playoffs through CBC Sports and TSN. Both networks have offered incredible access to videos throughout the season and now in the Playoffs. Today I came across a great report by Jermaine Franklin, a TSN caster who follows the Calgary Flames.

Trouble Bruin in Montreal?
http://www.battleofny.com/ 2008/ 04/ 18/ trouble-bruin-in-montreal/All Photos Copyright Getty Images Normally, one wouldn’t think an eight seed has a shot at coming back. Especially from the 3-1 hole ex-Montreal coach Claude Julien’s Bruins entered last night in before outscoring the home Habs 4-0 in the deciding period to post a 5-1 Game Five road win.

You Win Some, You Lose Some
http://therealdealhockey.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 04/ you-win-some-you-lose-some.htmlA lot of thoughts keep running through my head after last night's game, they're scattered but I'll do my best. ----- RudyKelly was pretty prophetic with his tirade against Thornton bashers. I partially agree with him; for some reason 'showing emotion' usually means losing composure, and that's not really a great leadership quality.

Jumbo Joe lifts Sharks over Flames
http://www.battleofny.com/ 2008/ 04/ 16/ jumbo-joe-lifts-sharks-over-flames/Photo Copyright Getty Images Evgeni Nabokov’s challenge after Game Three stood for quite a while. Finally, his teammates stepped to the forefront and transformed from boys to men (no not the cheesy do op R & B group which once was alright back in the day) coming back to take the all important Game Four over Calgary 3-2, squaring their best-of-seven first round series.

http://flamesblog.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 03/ 13/ phaneuf-heart-cuthbert-i-can-hard…I’m not one to gossip, except for that I am. The always reliable laineygossip.com provides this tidbit: So Elisha Cuthbert has a thing for hockey players. After Sean [Avery] there was supposedly a hook up with the Habs’ Mike Komisarek, and now, I’m told it’s Dion Phaneuf and everyone in Calgary will tell you…he’s f*cking amazing.

Kristian: Your time needs to come
http://flamesblog.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 03/ 09/ kristian-your-time-needs-to-come/…Earlier this year, one of my few posts of 2007-08 led off with a yarn about how Kristian Huselius was as streaky a player as there is. At the time, he was on. Now — and for the past month — he’s off. And it hurts like a cross-check to the kidney.

Sutter And the Ever Shrinking Cap Space
http://rumormethis.com/ rumors/ opinion/ sutter-and-the-ever-shrinking-cap-space…Rumors are swirling that Flames GM Darryl Sutter has begun negotiations with pending UFA centerman Daymond Lankgow. This despite the fact the organization has more than $44M already committed to next season, with players like Yelle (1M)*, Hale (800k), Huselius (4M+), Conroy (1.5M) and Nolan (1.5M) also needing to be re-signed or replaced.

What a Difference a Day Makes
http://flamesfan77.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 02/ 28/ what-a-difference-a-day-makes/With all the recent trade talk surrounding Alex Tanguay most thought he would not play another shift for the Calgary Flames after Tuesday. Well not only is that wrong, but he got a promotion. At practice Tanguay was on the Flames top line with Jarome Iginla and Daymond Langkow. Mike Keenan removed Kristian Huselius from the top line after his hot play had cooled in recent games.
