The Chicago White Sox offense was shut down by Jered Weaver and the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night.  The White Sox only had one hit of Weaver in seven innings of action, and then got a couple of hits off the Angeles bullpen but it wasn’t enough as the White Sox lost 2-0. Carlos Quentin, A.J.

Mark Buehrle was roughed up for ten hits and eight runs (six earned) on Monday night as the Chicago White Sox lost to the Los Angeles Angels by the score of 10-7.  Buehrle was only able to throw 5 2/3 innings before having to be taken out of the ballgame.  Buehrle is now 1-5 on the season.

If you didn’t think that the Stanley Cup playoffs were a grind before the conference semi-finals, surely you must now be convinced. The Penguins needed overtime to eliminate the Rangers and Dallas endured a 4-OT marathon against San Jose. The eighth longest game in NHL history finally saw the Stars eliminate the Sharks after losing games 4 and 5.

As I have said before, Hockey is not my first sport of choice.  That is unless, I get seats on the glass for a Stars Playoff game.  Clearly sitting in the front row not only makes for a great game viewing experience, but it also means, I am “somebody.”  Actually, my wife is “somebody,”

San Jose & Dallas: 2-1 Stars This deserves it’s own post. I wish it had a better outcome. Shark Down: Morrow from Dallas hits Milan Michalek of San Jose. He needed assistance by the trainers to walk off the ice. Thornton slaps him on the back [!]. Determined a clean hit after reviews. Boo.

Alright, man. You've had all the regular season success, the praise, the accolades. Now it's time to buck up and show your worth when the stakes are higher. Put your team on your back and control this game. You're the inspirational leader to this team. You're the one who decides whether or not you win this game.

This is going to be really quick today as I'm too excited about the Kentucky Derby today. The Sharks finally showed a backbone last night. After trailing 2-0 heading to the third period, they stopped trying to make all these fancy passes and just put the puck on net.

Dallas & San Jose: 3-2 Sharks Hello, game six. Goal 1: Lehtinen. Fun Fact: He’s from Espoo, Finland. Oddly enough, so is his teammate, Niklas Hagman. Maybe it’s not that odd. They could be related, or friends, or maybe it’s just a common area in Finland.  Goal 2: Captain Morrow scores for Dallas.

With their backs to the wall, the two best Rangers stepped up to deliver a huge 3-0 Game Four shutout win over the Penguins before a very supportive Madison Square Garden earlier tonight. Jaromir Jagr and Henrik Lundqvist performed the way your best players should play in such a situation.
