After passing on the acquisition of the now defunct Jangl, WhitePages.com has agreed to purchase Snapvine’s VoIP service. As with many other VoIP services that have gained traction in the past two years, Snapvine spent a great deal of resources on integration with social networks, effectively giving users a way to connect via phone calls without needing to dole out their personal information.

A couple of weeks ago we realized the shopping patter of Live Universe is to buy failed, but over funded, start ups on the cheap and the deal we read about a few days ago makes no exception. Just over a few week ago the founders of and five engineers from VoIP services provider Jangl left for Jajah after the company failed to find a proper buyer.
