Since the emrging of social networks has the web given us a plethora of options to tell our friends, colleges, fans and stalker what we are doing right now. The one with the most heard name on the web is of course Twitter but that is far from the only one. We have Jaiku, Plurk, Identi.ca, Pownce ...

To mark 1000 posts on this blog, I thought I’d reflect on what I’ve learned since post #1. Blogging is not ‘writing a blog’. Blogging is linking and commenting. Any writing is a bonus. Regular posting is important… But quality posting is even more important.

Microblogging with Jaiku: Too Late to the Party?

    http://www.cmswire.com/ cms/ enterprise-20/ microblogging-with-jaiku-too-late-to…

It's back - yes it is. Jaiku has arisen from the depths of Google and is now offering unlimited invites to all. Google acquired the microblogging service back in the October of last year and we've heard very little about it since then. Perhaps now that school is back in, Google sees an opportunity to grab a market away from Twitter.

Would anyone like a Jaiku invite?

    http://www.betterthantherapy.net/ index.php/ 2008/ 09/ 01/ would-anyone-like-a-j…

I was recently invited to Jaiku by Ross over at Simple Help.   Now I would like to pass on my invites to others. If anyone would like an invite to Jaiku, just let me know in the comments and I will email you an invite as soon as I can.   Obviously if I am sleeping or unavailable, I will send you the invite as soon as I am able to.

What’s the Big Deal About Jaiku?

    http://www.sipy.net/ 2008/ 08/ 31/ what%e2%80%99s-the-big-deal-about-jaiku/

For months, there’s been this subtle but persistent buzz about Jaiku, the microblogging service that Google acquired last October, and then took into stealth mode. Having not used Jaiku before Google swooped in, I didn’t have a feel for what Jaiku did or how it was any different from Twitter or Pownce.

Send photos on twitter, pownce, jaiku by email, mms.

    http://blogsolute.com/ 2008/ 08/ send-photos-on-twitter-pownce-jaiku-by-email-mm…

Pikchur is a new service which proposes sending photos on the main social networks and microblogging sites via mail, or upload direct mms. The principle is simple registration. You login with your identity of the social network of your choice, you set up an e-mail address (you will need to add a code to address proposed) and that’s all.

    http://imknight.net/ archives/ 2008/ 08/ 30/ jaiku-invite-is-unlimited-now/

I think begining of last weekend Jaiku was down for a few day and the main reason is they are moving to google app engine , which mean they will be integrate into google infrastructure. Now they are back online and the first shot will be no more limitation on invitation, i believe before this , each user is having 10 invitation only.
