Potential Opportunity For Bob Barr To Get In The Debates

    http://www.libertymaven.com/ 2008/ 09/ 08/ potential-opportunity-for-bob-barr-to…

This is quite a shot in the dark, and I’m sure the Barr campaign discussed this internally, although one never knows. They can use the Texas ballot access fight to their advantage in an attempt to get Bob Barr into the debates.

When Democrats Agree to Inject Religion in Politics, Religions Fight Over Which One

    http://irregulartimes.com/ index.php/ archives/ 2008/ 09/ 04/ democrats-put-reli…

The backlash was inevitable. Last week, the Democratic Party filled its quadrennial convention with references to gods, appeals to gods and even the claim that gods are working for the Democrats. Well, that’s not entirely accurate; actually, all of the many references to gods during the Democratic National Convention were references to one, single, provincial God: the Abrahamic God of the Bible.

Child Savings Accounts: Fad or Phenomenon at the Bottom of the Pyramid?

    http://www.newamerica.net/ blog/ asset-building/ 2008/ child-savings-accounts-fa…

In the United States and many developed nations, banks offering savings to children as a means of social and economic inclusion and empowerment may seem tired tradition of the thrift era that has long passed.  Gone are the days of widespread school banking programs once so common in the US.

    Linking formal and informal learning

    http://flux.futurelab.org.uk/ 2008/ 09/ 02/ linking-formal-and-informal-learning…

Keri’s post about the QCA review of the GCSE ICT and the consultation is timely. I have just returned from my usual study visit to Stanford University and Keri’s post resonated with my experiences and raises a number of questions about GCSE ICT and the learning experiences of our children and young people.

    Who needs special education?

    http://wheeliecatholic.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ who-needs-special-education.html

Usually the term special education is reserved for kids with disabilities*. But what kind of "special education", if any, is necessary for people to learn about disabilities and, ultimately, lead to full inclusion in society of people with disabilities? Employee programs and handicap awareness presentations and even one on one attempts to educate about disability can only go so far.
