    Bartok and Us

    http://transmillennial.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ bartok-and-us.html

"What I have written so far refers to Hungary, where, alas, the 'civilized Christian people are almost entirely devoted to the Nazi system. I am really ashamed I come from this class." ~~Bela Bartok in "The Life of Bela Bartok" by Halsey Stevens It's an interesting sentiment and it is ripe with questions for those folks and all of us today.

Review - A Passion for God: The Spiritual Journey of A. W. Tozer

    http://ceruleansanctum.com/ 2008/ 05/ review-a-passion-for-god-the-spiritual-jou…

Others before me have gone much farther into holy mysteries than I have done, but if my fire is not large it is yet real, and there may be those who can light their candle at its flame. —A. W. Tozer If I were to examine my life and discover what man has contributed more to my own spiritual growth,

    Rainy Mother’s Day

    http://jayleigh.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 11/ rainy-mothers-day/

I’m going to mention 10 blessings before I even start this post, and perhaps it (the complaining) can be avoided all together. Rob is an amazing husband, and I’m so proud of him as a man, and as a teacher (preacher!). My parents are mostly restored back to health. I am so blessed to have them as dear friends and mentors to me.

    Aish.com Hacked Again

    http://lukeford.net/ blog/ ?p=2936

Aish.com Hacked Again Much of Friday, Aish.com hung up a notice that it was undergoing routine maintenance. Today they told the truth: Aish.com has been maliciously attacked by a group from China. Our servers are undergoing extensive anti-hacking, filtering and monitoring upgrades.

You know your kids have been bad when the waitress gives you a sympathetic smile on the way out of the restaurant and says, "Good luck."

    It’s about faith, stupid…

    http://www.desperatelyseekingsanity.com/ 2008/ 05/ 11/ its-about-faith-stupid

I have spent multiple weeks being attacked by the enemy. These attacks have come by way of members of my church, members of my family, friends, strangers, children, adults, etc. Every time I feel that I have risen above it (read: laughed it off and tried to pretend like it doesn’t bother me) another attack would happen.

    Mother’s Day Sermon

    http://pastorofdisaster.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 11/ mothers-day-sermon/

It was a foggy night in Bayou country when we loaded the Honda with our provisions and headed on the 25-mile journey from New Iberia to Lafayette, Louisiana. It was 25 miles of tension because my wife Carol’s water had broken and I was afraid that I would have to deliver the baby in the car.

    Done in by my Conformism

    http://www.hogonice.com/ 2008/ 05/ done_in_by_my_conformism.html

I Must Learn to Have an Original Thought Once in a While I have started on the book of Numbers. And I have to say, the title is appropriate. There are some parts of the Bible I just skim. I know I will never remember the names of the tribe leaders and how many people were in each tribe.

    Zim Viloence (the video)

    http://my.telegraph.co.uk/ soutie/ may_2008/ zim_viloence_the_video_.htm

This is a really chilling website which depicts the ongoing violence in Zimbabwe. It was my intention to post some other news today but after watching this I don’t have the stomach for it at the moment. If you do nothing else this evening perhaps you could forward this address to decent minded people in your address book.
