This plant won’t be going to Chelsea Rosy Hardy of Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants in Hampshire was checking the plants in one of her tunnels yesterday. These are the plants that she’s been carefully nurturing for months for the Chelsea Flower Show in a couple of weeks time.

"Beauty in the Wild" was the theme for the 2008 Annual Flower Show of the St. James Horticultural Society. It was held at the lovely Montego River Gardens in the community of Porto Bello this past weekend. There were many things on display besides flowers - furniture, books, magazines, fruit, vegetables.

So, how have all your day been? I witnessed the worst possible dust storm blowing from the west this morning, enjoyed the gale force wind that saw trees broken in halves. I have yet to witness a flying cow but the welcoming rain that followed was a blessing since my car was covered completely in dust.

A bit of the Flower Show came home with me. Last night I went into town for the New England Spring Flower Show. I was invited by the show’s PR agency Weber Shandwick to “Girls Night Out,” a special event at the show with a variety of added attractions aimed at women (duh!).
