Doghouse Records has announced their signing of Atlanta, GA based The Status. The bands debut full-length, So This Is Progress is set for release on October 7, along with beginning a national tour with Bayside, The Matches, and Valencia.

Driver F’s new album Chase the White Whale is ten tracks of pure alt-pop goodness. What will ultimately win you over is the pleading, love-stricken vocals that are reminiscent of Jimmy Eat World. But vocals is where the JEW comparison begins and ends, as Driver F very effectively incorporates a horn section (trumpet & trombone) that will please fans of 90’s ska.

Sleepercar, which is Jim Ward’s (At The Drive In/Sparta) new band, is streaming their debut West Texas (Doghouse) on Myspace. Unlike his previous projects, Sleepercar has more of an alt-country feel to it. Check it out here!
