Our incredibly talented friend David duChemin is making a very small number of one of his beautiful prints available. This alone should get many of you excited, but as a bonus David is contributing 25% of the proceeds to Linwood House Ministries.

Our friend Greg Kendall-Ball has a photography-related interview with our friend David duChemin, so swing by and take a look. And, as I've said before, even if you don't have a clue what an f-stop is--I don't--you should be regularly checking David's blog for his all-around wisdom and stuff.

    INTERVIEW: David DuChemin

    http://gregkendallball.com/ 2008/ 06/ 20/ interview-david-duchemin/

Last year, I was helping a friend prepare a presentation on his experience surviving the 1994 Rwanda genocide. I turned to Flickr to find some images to supplement my own, and while surfing around, I saw this image as a little thumbnail, and thought I recognized someone in it.

    Tearfully Human

    http://miketodd.typepad.com/ waving_or_drowning/ 2008/ 06/ tearfully-human.html

Our friend David is bidding us goodbye, at least on one of his blogs. Swing by and let him know his words have been appreciated... and wish him well with the book. (And keep in mind that you don't have to be a photographer to follow his other blog!)

mon·ger [muhng-ger, mong-] – noun Chiefly British. a dealer in or trader of a commodity (usually used in combination): fishmonger. I'm very fortunate to have a creative friend like David duChemin. On Thursday we were downtown catching up over a tea when I mentioned that I needed some new business cards.

    Free Goods!

    http://kendallball.com/ 2008/ 04/ 26/ free-goods/

A big, overdue thanks to David DuChemin of “Pixelated Image” for sending me a free 4GB Lexar Professional UDMA Comact Flash card. That’s digital film, for those of you not down with the lingo. Several weeks ago David hosted a sort of competition on his blog, and I “entered” and David liked my entry enough to send me a pretty nifty hunk of plastic and metal in a little cardboard box.
