I’m writing this post on my Apple PowerBook G4, which ordinarily does very well what I need it to do—except that right now it is sitting on my lap and giving off enough heat to keep me warm on a cool day. That might be welcome if today were a February day in Denver. But it’s August.

It’s hard to beleive that the Bejing Olympics are less than a week away. What’s more difficult to get my head around is how much the Chinese government control the event and its related press. Apparently the IOC are upset over the amount of censorship the communist nation has imposed, particularly in regards to blocked web pages as well as entire sites.

Fireworks was the key player in slicing, disjointed rollovers and other java enabled greatness back in the day but is it still the defacto tool? Growing pains, however, included too few parking spaces, not enough food, a lack of bathrooms and mighty long lines. Double the parking spaces have been secured.
