Blogrush Com was something I avoided after being refused an entry soon after it opened it’s doors. I don’t know why I took offence but I did. Nowadays getting refused for an affiliate program or Blogrush like service doesn’t bother me a bit (specially the affiliate programs, if they don’t want my traffic someone sure as hell will).

Or is it? If you’ve been following the financial news of the past two weeks, you’re probably feeling all doomy and gloomy right now wondering what in the hell you’re going to retire on. Every where you turn people from President Bush to the guy who mows your yard is going on and on about how this is the WORST economic disaster of the past 75 years.

I’ve been giving more attention to site promotion the past few days. What I’ve tried before this has had very little affect on new traffic, other than Entracard.  Everyone who writes about increasing traffic states social sites are viable ways for building traffic. So far for me, social sites really haven’t helped much.

I found a cool new tool for both readers of my blog and other bloggers.  Actually it’s not all that new, but I haven’t seen it that much so I am going to test it out.  Scroll down and you will see a new feature on the right side of my blog. It’s a new “widget’ called Blog Rush.

Remember BlogRush, that cool little widget that snatched related stories from the blogosphere, and served them to your readers, giving you credits to get similar exposure yourself? In theory it should work, but in practice it might be lacking.

I decided earlier today to remove the EntreCard and BlogRush widgets from my site. They were not driving a great deal of traffic to my site. Even when I post regularly there is not much different. Yeah if you drop several cards with EntreCard then you have some visitors here and there.

A few days ago Carlos, over at Ragamuffin Soul, posted a blog about online churches, basically taking over in the years to come. In this post, stats from Barna supported this idea. Well, it got me thinking. I left a comment stating that churches better get some cameras and get with the program.

So where do you stand on gold farming? Good? Bad? Evil? Gold’s not at all hard to make in WoW, but still.. there is a certain appeal to getting 1k gold or more in 10 minutes. And then there’s that desire in the eyes of certain other people to just execute the buyers and the farmers.

When Michael Phelps trains for a competition like the Olympics, he really trains. Most days he swims four miles in preparation. Others he works outside of the pool on building muscle mass and endurance. The man is a machine and its no wonder that he’s on pace to set an Olympic record of 10 Olympic Golds in his career.

I’ve been working for online affiliate programs in one form or another for several years now. Back in January a new one started up and its been a pretty good source so far for advertising dollars. Even better now that Pepperjam Network is Now Offering a $10 Affiliate Sign On Bonus. Thats right.
