Valley School birding trip

Last Sunday along with Shashank and Arun of BWS, I went for my first bird photography trip on Kanakapura road, around Valley school campus. There were lots of birds. Robins, Munias, Bulbuls and many more, that i can’t identify as yet, were around.

Among the many clever designs of Eva Solo is the glass bird feeders pictured here. The round shape is different from most bird feeders on the market today which often depict rectangular or "house" shapes. I find that the round shape creates a delicate look while the glass provides a "birds eye view" into the private nature of these animals.

Rich and I and about 6 other hikers were sound asleep in a shelter (I think in New York State) when a Whip-poor-will landed on the picnic table in front of the shelter and gave his call loud and clear.
