    Knut Sunday, August 31st, 2008 Tangentially related to the Sarah Palin fracas, I’ve been enjoying Knut’s website, which is way nicer than mine. Knut is a polar bear at the Berlin zoo. Too bad zoos will be the only place left for polar bears to live soon, but I guess God wants it that way or something so it’s ok.

    This is Knut. After the unproblematic gestation time of the 20-year old polar bear Tosca, Knut and his brother were born on 5 December 2006. Tosca, who is a former circus performer, rejected Knut and his brother. After four days, the brother died and Knut was separated from his mother by zoo workers.

    Knut, the famous polar bear from the Berlin Zoo, has long lost his cuteness. He's a real big polar bear now. Alright, some may argue he's still cute but he surely doesn't look like a Steiff teddy anymore.

    As far as lifelong friendships go, Muschi thinks her large and loveable friend Maeuschen is the cat's pyjamas. The feline, which struck up the unlikely friendship with the 40-year-old Asian bear eight years ago, now can't bear to be apart from her friend.
