BEING AN ALLEGED VICTIM OF ISLAMOPHOBIA SURE PAYS IN THE UK

    http://www.caledonian-comment.com/ ?p=2080

In the UK an Asian lawyer who was suspended after telling a court security guard she was a ‘friend of Bin Laden’s’ has won a £600,000 record pay out for race discrimination. Halima Aziz (above), made the remark as she arrived at Bradford magistrates’ court in Yorkshire only a fortnight after the September 11 attacks in New York and Washington.

Benazir Bhutto’s husband elected President of Pakistan This is by no means a slam dunk for ‘good guys’. Zardari was a consumate liar and corrupt as hell when Bhutto was in office. From MSNBC: ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - The widower of slain former leader Benazir Bhutto will succeed Pervez Musharraf as president of Pakistan after winning a landslide election victory Saturday.

    The Zardari conundrum

    http://www.razarumi.com/ 2008/ 09/ 06/ the-zardari-conundrum/

The Zardari conundrum by Raza Rumi ( published in the NEWS) By all statistical estimates and anecdotal evidence, Pakistan’s middleclass has grown during the last decade. The visible manifestation of this historically significant trend was the spontaneous outrage at the dismissal of the chief justice in 2007 and the robust movement that followed.

    Mr ten percent now president

    http://torydrroy.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ mr-ten-percent-now-president.html

As I have said before this is not a good idea, but Benazir' Bhutto's widower has been elected president of pakistan. Pakistan needs a fresh honest face to help heal the country. zardari comes with a lot of personal baggage and enemies. I doubt he will bring much stability to this troubled land.

    Bhutto’s Widower Wins Pakistani Election

Benazir Bhutto’s widower, Asif Ali Zardari, was elected president of Pakistan by what the Huffington Post describes as an “overwhelming” margin. He’s bringing in democracy, but this quote from a supporter kind of troubled me: «”We want him to save Pakistan from becoming Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bhutto’s homeland has little love for Zardari

Hasan Mansoor NAUDERO: Every wall and roadside along the dusty country lanes surrounding the southern ancestral home of Benazir Bhutto is adorned with her image. Large, framed portraits of the slain two-time former premier loom large beside the faces of her father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and brothers, Shahnawaz and Murtaza, who also died violent deaths.
