    http://www.treehugger.com/ files/ 2008/ 10/ beijing-to-ban-cars.php

Global brands connecting virtually with consumers

    http://lab.77agency.com/ social-marketing/ global-brands-connecting-virtually-wi…

I’d like to turn back a bit and refer to the Beijing Olympics as a wonderful example of how brands use the power of social media to reach vast audiences and increase brand exposure. It is to a brand’s interest to piggyback on a mega global event as the Olympics to create the ideal buzz and word-of-mouth effect all brands aspire without the need to invest exceeding amounts of time or effort.

    Michael Phelps' Homecoming Parade

    http://blogs.trb.com/ entertainment/ technology/ watchthis/ 2008/ 10/ michael_ph…

Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps returns to Baltimore in a Hummer and with a pretty serious-looking security patrol. Go Sox!

    http://granitestudio.org/ 2008/ 10/ 07/ go-sox/

And so the Red Sox squeezed past the Angels into the ALCS against the…Tampa Bay Rays!?!? Doesn’t matter.  What is important is deciding where to watch the games as the playoffs heat up.  Last year it was the Rickshaw, but I’ve been hearing about quirks in service as management focuses its attention
