Where’s Waylon-Oct 4, 2008 October 4th, 2008 categories: Animal Rescue It has been a while since my last Where’s Waylon- well tonight, he is snoozing with his new foster sister- Nutmeg.  We welcomed Nutmeg to our family on Thursday- she was abandoned at the vet.  She was spayed on Thursday and is doing very well!

Poppy is a 2 year old female Basset Hound, she can be a little wary of new people at first, and can be a little stubborn. We would ideally would like Poppy to go to people with experience of Bassetts, with no younger children. Poppy can also be quite vocal. Share This

It was inevitable to write this list after we posted the top 10 most intelligent dogs. With good comes bad and with smart comes stupid. With every positive quality comes a negative. Yes, this applies to dog breeds, as silly as it may sound.

We are an animal-loving family. In our household, we have 3 dogs, 5 cats and two turtles. Two years ago, our male basset hound, Pancho passed away, bitten by a vicious snake who had gotten into our garden. Pancho had a terrible temper, but did have a sweet side of him.

You probably do know the majority of these dog facts but there were a few that surprised me - like #12 and #15! Which ones didn’t you know? A one year old dog is as mature, physically, as a 15 year old human. The average city dog lives 3 years longer than country dogs.

In May, Randy DeCarlo, 55, of Lilburn, GA, was issued 24 citations for violating Gwinnett County’s nuisance noise ordinance. He faced the possibility of 6 months in jail for each of the 24 citations for a total of 12 years.
