The LindeX (trading platform in the virtual world) showed a 5.5% increase. Even though premium accounts are continuing to drop the overall economy is going strong.

    Aaron Koblin, the creator of 'The Sheep Market' and Flight Patterns, has created another digital artwork, with Takashi Kawashima, through mechanical turk. It's entitled 'Ten Thousand Cents' (via Metafilter). Quote from the website: "Ten Thousand Cents" is a digital artwork that creates a representation of a $100 bill.

    Ten Thousand Cents is a digital artwork that created a representation of the $100 bill using 10,000 anonymous artists, each paid one cent per contribution. By using Amazon’s Mechanical Turk, the two main artists (Aaron Koblin and Takashi Kawashima) were able to enlist the help of thousands of other people/artists to recreate the bill.

    During a recent game developers conference, Nintendo’s Takashi Aoyama announced a new Pay to Play program. Details were few and far between, but it appears that it will go like this - Nintendo will begin charging for certain parts of certain online games.
