Giants Win the Super Bowl - Page 2
Thanks to Eli's dominance of the clock, Brady only had the ball for less than five minutes in the first quarter. The first eight seconds of Brady's first possession lead to the first two points after Justin Tuck forced Brady into an intentional grounding penalty.
In the next Patriot possession, they were able to put a drive together but Jason Pierre-Paul wore his basketball sneakers and muffed Brady twice. At one point JPP looked like Dikembe Motumbo. It seemed as if the Giants were going to completely dominate this game.
After what looked like a blown holding penalty called against the Giants, Brady scored at will in back to back possessions, but the third quarter touchdown became the last time the Patriots scored in the game.
Hakeem Nicks played a huge part in the game collecting 109 yards on 10 catches. Mario Manningham five catches were good for 73 yards and Victor Cruz, who was doubled team most of the time, only caught four passes for 25 yards but caught a big touchdown.
New York will welcome their champions, as Chris Canty predicted, with a parade on Tuesday.
