Soccer Star DaMarcus Beasley's Car Gets Firebombed in Scotland
While American sports fans express outrage that fans could get close enough to Portland Trail Blazer Rudy Fernandez to hug him and tell him they love him, soccer star DaMarcus Beasley has bigger problems with crazed fans.
Beasley's car was bombed outside of his Scotland home Monday. A neighbor witnessed a hooded figure put something under the car and light it.
Beasley was home at the time of the incident, looking out his window to see the car — an $80,000 BMW — on fire.
Via his Twitter page, Beasley is being surprisingly good-natured about the incident:
Thanks again for ALL the messages and kind words.. But yea I'm doin ok and in the market for a new car! Lol..Gotta try to find some humor
Beasley's team, Rangers FC, says they will provide added security for their players.
