When GQ posted Jason Fagone's investigation into allegations against former NFL great Marvin Harrison Jan. 14, the provocative new details about the reclusive star and his possible involvement in two Philadelphia-area shootings moved quickly through the media.

Suddenly, new details in a mysterious incident that law enforcement had seemingly given up on emerged, providing great fodder for blogs and talking heads.

Well, it wasn't only the blogosphere and sports pundits who had their interest piqued. ESPN reports that the FBI and police are now teaming up to look into the details uncovered by Fagone:

Philadelphia police have enlisted the FBI to help investigate whether the fatal shooting of a convicted drug dealer last July is related to an earlier incident in which the victim claimed that he was shot by former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison, ESPN has learned.

Perhaps investigators should start in the comments on that GQ piece. Those folks certainly seem to know a lot about Harrison and his off-field personality.
